A beautiful summers day was on the cards for Tanya and Paul, planning their wedding for 19th August 2017,,,you would certainly be optimistic! Luckily, everything went according to plan and they were blessed with the perfect day. The ceremony at St. Mary's Church, Ballinrobe, with the reception to follow at the Lodge at Ashford Castle. You could not have asked for more! Here is a small selection of my favourite images from the day. Enjoy! Andrea x Suppliers: Hair: Carrie Buc
So they say in Norway that there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes. Well unless you intend on getting married in the lovely rain gear you purchased in Lidl (when you went in for just milk), then the Norwegian's advice isn't much help to us...sorry guys! Nothing makes an Irish wedding like a bit of rain. The Child of Prague seems to wield some sort of mystical power over wedding day weather, and when the sun is up on the big morning, it's all down to the child!
I get asked this a lot, not so much by clients but by friends, colleagues, and people I meet on a day to day basis...do we really need a wedding album? I always say the same thing...you'll regret it if you don't. Yeah, yeah, so you're thinking here comes the sales pitch! No, no sales pitch here I'm afraid. Not today. Each of my wedding collections include a wedding album, I don't use any sales pitch as the album is already part of the deal. Why do I do this? Do you really nee
Family photo shoots are fast becoming my new favourite thing...the fun I'm having hanging out with new people and capturing fun, candid moments for them. But more so, I love being part of producing something families will always have, something that their children and their children's children will look at and wonder who's who in the photo. These are the images that are eternal, not always the ones on your phone or an old memory card that's lost in the couch, the images and p
We got engaged in 2012, and married in 2014...so we had A LOT of time to plan our wedding. We had also just moved into a new house so were absolutely skint (many Ikea trips were had). On the back of our new found hobby of spending every cent we had on the house, I decided to go all out DIY on our wedding. And this brings me to tip number one... 1. DIY is not for everyone. Well I had mood boards and wedding magazines to bate the band, I had ideas running around my head 24/7, I
This isn't a typical blog post, but I just HAD to share this! Anyone that follows my Instagram account may have seen my brand new Sigma macro lens I got for my birthday lately (thanks Niall!). I have been drooling over this lens for a long time so I am still far too excited about it! (Sidenote: I'm thinking I might post a review of the lens at a later date....but so far I am LOVING it!) Anywho, I brought it out yesterday to take some winter shots, and it being a Sunday I b
Our Summer that is...where has it gone?! I think today was the first time I really noticed the shortening of the evenings...it feels like just yesterday people were admiring the "fine stretch in it"! After a hectic summer of putting down roots (hello Dunmore!), weddings (both working and attending!) and just general craziness, I decided to sit and think on the past few months. In between all the running and racing, we certainly had some great moments. Here are some shot
Recently friends of mine got engaged (hurray!), enter lots of jumping up and down and Prosecco! I love a good engagement. So being the photographer friend, I offered my friends an engagement shoot and a story book album as a gift and nice memento of the occasion. Looking back I really wish I took a photo of their faces for this blog post…horror is probably the most accurate description! They politely declined and explained it wasn’t their thing, different strokes for diff
